The Bylaws Committee Needs You

The Bylaws Committee is needing NLC members willing to review and prepare to propose Bylaw changes to the NLC Executive Board. The Bylaws Committee is being led by NLC Immediate Past President, Dr. Jeffery Hudson-Covolo. “This is a time of great change and the bylaws need to be revised to address dual membership with the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL), the elections process alignment with ACNL, as well as a general review of all of the bylaws for any revisions necessary to conduct your regional professional nurse leader membership organization.” Meetings will be held virtually. The committee will convene in mid-March and have it works completed by June 15, 2022.

Email Dr. Hudson at JHudson@sierra-view.com or call him directly at 559-788-6182 if you are willing to serve on the Bylaws Committee.

Important Information Regarding NLC Membership Renewals

NLC membership,

Effective 1 July 2021, NLC membership has become a global membership with the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL).  NLC is an affiliate chapter of ACNL.  Membership meetings and broadcast messages have been sent out to help prepare affiliate chapters throughout the state to prepare for the transition to global membership with ACNL and the local chapters. There will no longer be an option to just belong to the affiliate chapter (examples:  NLC, San Diego, Imperial Empire, etc.).  You must have a membership with ACNL.

  • If you are only a member of NLC, you will need to join with a membership at ACNL.org and select your local affiliate chapter as NLC.
  • If you are a member of ACNL and NLC, you will renew on your ACNL membership anniversary date, and no longer pay NLC renewal membership dues.
